Accessibility
Collective Commerce Group wants everyone to be able to find what is local and get in touch. This statement describes the accessibility of this website as it stands today.
What we have done
- Responsive design. Pages adapt to phones, tablets and desktop screens. We have checked the directory, listing pages, legal pages and the site footer at screen widths from 320 to 1920 pixels, including for unwanted sideways scrolling.
- Keyboard use. The directory's search box, filters, Clear filters, and the Save and Share buttons are standard controls that can be reached and used with a keyboard, and show a visible focus outline.
- Readable text and contrast. We use clear type and aim for strong contrast between text and backgrounds, particularly on the directory, footer and legal pages.
- Alternative text. Images have text descriptions where we have them. Some decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the website turns off its decorative animations.
- Status messages. Directory results counts and Save or Share confirmations are announced to screen readers.
What we have not done yet
We have not yet had the website independently audited, and we do not claim that it meets any particular accessibility standard. Some parts may still be difficult to use. For example, some images contain text or detail that may not be fully described, and some older pages have not been checked as thoroughly as the directory.
