Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Collective Commerce Group Limited ("CCG", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information through this website, including the CCG Your Local Network directory, the List Your Business application process and our contact form.
Who we are
Collective Commerce Group Limited

Registered in England and Wales
CCG is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. To ask a question about your information, use the contact form and choose Privacy / data request.
Public information and private information
This website handles two different kinds of information. Understanding the difference matters.
Public listing information
When a business or organisation is approved for CCG Your Local Network, we publish the listing details it has chosen to share and given us permission to publish. These can include the business or organisation name, type, category, description, town or area, address and postcode, public phone number and email address, website and social media links, logo and images, opening hours, services and tags. Published listings can be seen by anyone, and can be saved and shared by visitors.
Private application and administration information
Information submitted in an application that is not part of the published listing stays private. This includes the applicant's name and contact details, preferred contact method, answers about websites and Creative Lab, confirmations and consents, and anything else used to review the application. It also includes our internal review records: application status, review notes and reasons, decision dates, and which CCG administrator made each decision. This information is used only by CCG to review, moderate and run the directory. It is never shown in the public directory or on public listing pages.
Information we collect
Contact form
When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, the reason you are contacting us, your message, and whether you would like to receive occasional news by email.
List Your Business applications
When you submit the List Your Business form we collect: contact name, email address, telephone number, preferred contact method, business or organisation name, provider type, main category, a description of what you do, the town or area you serve, website address, social and selling links, any logo or image you upload, whether you have a website, whether you would like Creative Lab to contact you, your confirmation that you are authorised to submit the information, your permission for the information to be published if approved, and whether you would like to receive news by email.
Directory and listing records
We keep the directory record for each listing, including its status (for example draft, pending, changes requested, published, rejected or archived), whether it is featured or verified, and when it was added and last updated.
Administration and moderation records
When a CCG administrator approves, rejects, edits, requests changes to, unpublishes, archives, features or verifies a listing or application, we record the action, the date and time, and the administrator who carried it out. Administrators sign in with an account managed through our hosting provider's identity service.
Technical information
Form submissions are received by our hosting provider, Netlify, which records technical details such as your IP address, browser user agent and the page you submitted from, to deliver the submission and help prevent spam and abuse. Like most websites, our hosting provider also processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep the service secure.
Information stored on your device
If you use Save to add businesses to My Local, the list of saved listings is stored in your own browser on your device. It is not sent to CCG and we cannot see it. See our Cookie Policy.
How we use information and why
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to enquiries sent through the contact form | Legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (for example a Creative Labs enquiry) |
| Reviewing List Your Business applications, contacting applicants about them, and requesting changes or clarification | Legitimate interests in running an accurate, trustworthy local directory, and steps taken at your request |
| Publishing approved listing information in CCG Your Local Network | The permission given when the application was submitted, together with our legitimate interests in operating the directory |
| Moderating listings, keeping administration and audit records, and preventing misuse | Legitimate interests in accountability, security and keeping the directory accurate |
| Contacting you about Creative Lab services, where you ticked the box asking us to | Steps taken at your request |
| Sending EasyHelpings / CCG news and opportunities by email | Consent. This is optional, separate from your listing request, and you can withdraw it at any time |
| Complying with legal obligations and dealing with legal claims | Legal obligation and legitimate interests |
We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising or analytics tracking on this website.
Service providers
We use Netlify, Inc. to host this website and to provide the services it relies on: form handling, the database that stores directory records, applications and administration records, administrator sign-in, and server-side functions. Netlify processes information on our behalf. Its services may involve processing outside the UK; Netlify's own privacy documentation explains how it protects personal data.
The administrator sign-in pages load a software library from the esm.sh content delivery network, so visiting those pages makes a request to esm.sh. Public pages do not use it.
We do not currently use an automated email delivery service through this website. If we introduce one, for example to send application updates, we will update this policy.
Links to third-party websites, such as a listed business's own website or social media pages, are covered by those websites' own privacy policies.
How long we keep information
- Published listings are kept while they are part of the directory. When a listing is archived it is removed from public view; we keep the record so we can manage corrections and disputes, and delete it on request where we are not required to keep it.
- Applications, including rejected applications and those where changes were requested, are kept for as long as needed to manage the application and any resulting listing, and for up to two years after a final decision, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Contact form enquiries are kept for up to two years after our last contact with you, unless they relate to an ongoing service or listing.
- Administration and audit records are kept for as long as the related listing or application record exists, so decisions remain accountable.
- Marketing preferences are kept until you withdraw consent.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete, including a published listing;
- ask us to delete your information, or to remove or unpublish a listing;
- ask us to restrict how we use your information;
- object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests;
- ask for information you provided to be transferred to you or another organisation in a portable format, where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time, for example to stop receiving news by email.
To make a request, use the contact form and choose Privacy / data request or Correct or remove a listing. We may need to confirm your identity, or that you are authorised to act for a business, before making changes. We aim to respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website is not intended for children to submit information. Applications should be made by adults who are authorised to act for the business or organisation.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the website or the way we use information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
